Last season my leagues switched to PPR, it was the first time we did.
My commish made it a 1-point per reception, which seemed kind of high, maybe not?
I’m thinking about suggesting making an adjustment to it, maybe reward for multiple catches i.e. 1-point for two receptions or some variation of that.
What’s the standard/typical scoring system for PPR? What does your league do?
Thanks

Basically all this does is value position receivers (Welker, Mason, Housh) a little more. And some backs like Rice, Charles, MJD a little more. No need to revise your whole strategy, just adjust your draft day cheat sheet a bit to look at possession WRs.
Magic Formula still holds true.

Thanks Mike I understand how PPR works. My question was how do people reward in there particular league. I want to know the common way people reward/score for there PPR leagues, like our is currently 1 whole point per reception. Is that typical?

ahh ... sorry i misunderstood.
The league I have set up I do a .5 ppr
Like you I agree that 1 point is too much, I think the .5 is a good enough bonus. then 6pts TD, 1pt every 20 yards and a 4point bonus for 100. I think that makes it level off. But also think think about other scoring for the league. How many points per yards, any bonuses? All those could damper the points gained by a ppr.

My league does 0 ppr. I think that's still the standard.

That's the answer I was looking for, thanks. As always I'll consider all scoring when making my decisions.

The two leagues I run we do .5 ppr...we did it for 1PPR for a season and decided that it was too much but .5PPR still reward the reception hounds.

Yeah, the commish and me like the .5 PPR idea. Just not sure if the rest of the league will agree because 1-of-2 of our leagues had allot of Fantasy Football new comers, and now they my not like the idea of the way the started playing changing. He’ll send the email to see what everyone thinks. Thanks guys

In my league it's here to stay but my feelings about PPR are I could take it or leave it

I am in basic 1 point per catch leagues. Have not tried the .5 points per catch at all.

We do .5 pts/rec for 2 years now and it has worked out perfectly

We do a full point per reception, but I see where you're coming from.
I would agree that a full point does not translate very well from a value point-of-view in a real-live NFL game.
But I think having the wrinkle in the scoring makes the games a bit more fun to watch.

I like 1 pt per 2 or 3 catches. I am also interested in fleaflicker being able to do PPR for WR and TE only.
